Canadian Fine Fibre Works Ltd. was started to fill a large gap in the value added production chain for fine fibre in North America. We can see nothing but growth for the future of the fine fibre industry in North America. But first, there had to be a mill custom designed to process fine fibre and dedicated to producing the finest quality end product possible.

We are not new to business. We have owned and operated very successful large scale businesses in diverse industries. Top flight customer service and a consistently high quality product are our mandate. We expect nothing less, and provide nothing less.

We have been in the Camelid industry of over a decade and know the demand for fine fibre. We are convinced now that the market has leveled out and opened many opportunities for new breeders that the North American herd will grow and start to compete in the world market. This in turn will drive up the demand for many other specialty fine fibres.

We believe that as fine fibre breeders we must work together to grow a healthy, prosperous industry.

When your fibre is received at our mill, a work order is generated that will stay with your order from start to finish with your name, date received, and a reference number. Your fibre is then weighed and a detailed description is printed on the work order. E.G.

NOTE: You are only charged for the finished weight of your processed fibre. Not the raw weight.

Your fibre is now booked in and proceeds directly to the wash process, where it is washed and dried and stored in custom containers to await its turn at processing. The storage containers are all marked with your work order reference number. Because clean fibre is so important for good quality end products, it may be washed and rinsed several times before it is dried. We use a special soap in the washing and a special conditioner in the rinse to ensure the fibre's natural integrity is retained.
